The Nature-Scape Fertilization Program
We offer a choice of fertilization programs. Our standard
program is
based on a high-quality, slow-release fertilizer.
This is our basic
application schedule (for those who have our complete program, including weed and grub control):
-
Early Spring -- Fertilizer and pre-emergent weed control are
applied. This helps to control crabgrass through the rest of the season.
-
Late Spring -- Post-emergent weed control is applied. This is normally a spot application.
- Summer -- Fertilizer, preventative
grub control, and spot-application weed control are applied. This
application of fertilizer has no nitrogen, only potassium. Applying
nitrogen should be avoided during the summer months. The application of
potassium will help to strengthen turf roots for better vigor and
disease resistance throughout the rest of the season.
-
Early Fall -- Fertilizer and weed control are applied.
-
Late Fall -- Fertilizer is applied in order to strengthen lawn during the winter months.
NOTES: All fertilizers we
offer
are regarded as safe
when used as directed. We can tailor services
to fit your needs. For example, if you have pets and worry about
effects
of pesticides on them, we can offer fertilization alone. Or we can use
pesticides on your front lawn only if you wish to have a weed-free
front
lawn but don't wish to use pesticides in your back yard, etc.
