Insect Control
The main insect problems in our
area are grubs and sod webworms. Especially during a hot, dry summer,
they have the ability to destroy entire lawns rapidly, quickly moving
on to neighboring properties. Often, during a drought, lawns in entire
neighborhoods are destroyed by these pests.
We have found the best
way to deal with this is to use a preventative insect control. We use a
couple of different products, so that insects do not become resistant
(which may happen after several years using one product).

Proper mowing and watering
are important to maintain a strong, healthy lawn that helps to resist
grubs and other insects. We highly recommend following all of the
guidelines listed in these two links. RESISTING insect damage in the
first place is far more effectual than treating the problem after it's
occurred.
